I’m not supposed to be here.

Death has come for me more than once, and each time it’s been a boy who’s
stood between me and my final breath.

I called him Christopher when he saved me as a child. When he came into my
life again, only months ago, I knew him as Wes. Just as he did the time
before, he disappeared the moment he made sure I was out of harm’s way; as
if I didn’t need any more saving.

This time, though, death left me with a reminder of how powerful it is. I
know it meant to strip me of my spirit again, but it failed.

Even so, I know I need Wes to survive. Our souls are woven together
somehow, our every breath in sync. I feel it, even though everyone says I

The world thinks he’s missing.
His loved ones don’t want to believe he’s dead.
Only I know just how special he is.

I’m going to find him and bring him home, where he belongs. Together,
we’ll face impossible—we’ll rewrite our ending.

And when the bad guys come calling, we will always win.

Review: 5 STARS!!

I have been anxiously waiting for this book since I finished A Boy Like You and I couldn't have loved this book any more than I already do!! A Girl Like Me left off right where A Boy Like You ended and the journey that Wes & Joss go on throughout this book, I felt like I was right there with them. Just a warning, this review will be very vague as to not give spoilers away, because everyone needs to experience this book, not just read it.

Joss is one of the strongest characters I have read, and especially with her being so young. She is courageous, determined, driven and just wants to be loved, especially by Wes. I felt more connected to Joss in this book than I did with Wes, not saying that I didn't love Wes just as much as I loved Joss, but yeah.

Joss never gave up on Wes and knew that he was out there somewhere; she just had to find him and bring him home to where he belongs; with her. I think Joss being only 17, she really had an old soul and she has overcome so much grief and hardships, that no one should go through. It really shaped her into a strong willed and big hearted woman.

I loved the sense of mystery and intrigue surrounding Wes's character. His story alone had me giddy and rooting for him & Joss. Trust me when I say, Ginger Scott really threw me for a loop, but it was awesome!!

This book is filled with heartache, friendship, love & family. Wes & Joss are each other's family and their love, even though they are young, is true and beautiful. Ginger Scott really did a fantastic job with this duet series and I cannot wait to see what she comes out with next!!
