In Copper Ridge, Oregon, a cowboy's best friend might turn out to be the woman of his dreams...

If Finn Donnelly makes a plan, he stick to it. After his brothers left Copper Ridge, Finn stayed behind, determined to keep their ranch going by himself. And when he realized his feelings for Lane Jensen were more than platonic, he shoved that inconvenient desire away.
It was easy...until it wasn't.
Suddenly his brothers are coming home to claim their share of the property. And Lane is no longer just in his fantasies. She's in his arms, and their friendship is on the line...

He's been her buddy, her handyman, her rock. But until that one breathtaking kiss, Lane somehow overlooked the most important thing about Finn Donnelly-he's all man. They're right together, no matter how much his volatile past has bruised him. Finn wants to hold Lane's body, but he doesn't want to hold her heart. But Lane is falling fast and now she's got a plan of her own...to show Finn there's nothing hotter than friendship turned to slow-burning love.

What a FANTASTIC book by Maisey Yates!! I love a good friends to lovers romance and this book right here, definitely one of my top favorites!!

Lane was a very intriguing character. She went through an experience that should be filled with happiness and love, but was actually filled with loneliness, disappointment and heartbreak. I respected Lane for what she did, especially with how young she was. My heart went out to her and for the pain and guilt that she lived with. I loved how quirky Lane was. She would talk to herself and then the mouse, which was HILARIOUS. She was a giving person and a determined woman. When Finn starts becoming more than just her best friend, all of the emotions and the desires that go through Lane is what really makes Lane's character relate-able.

Finn is scarred by his past and it has shaped him to be the man that he is today. He is broody, a hard worker and his control of his desires for Lane shows that he has a lot of self strength. Seeing how Finn reacted towards his brothers coming home and claiming their piece of the ranch really spoke volumes of how messed up he is. I felt so bad for all of the brothers, because none of them really have a good and established relationship and in their lives. I understood why Finn was being selfish with the ranch, but at the same time, I think his grandfather did it that way on purpose. I loved how Finn knocked down all of Lane's walls and never judged her. He comforted her and pushed her to recognize her true feelings. Lane also pushed and pushed him, but Finn Donnelly is one hard man to crack.

The passion that these two characters have with each other is off the charts hot and the loved that it wasn't an insta-lust situation. The slow burn passion and love was refreshing to read and it kept me on tenterhooks throughout the whole book. Finn & Lane were made for each other and I loved the friendships that Lane had with Rebecca & Alison. Finn's brothers brought a sense of family and new drama into the book and I am SO excited for their stories!! Maisey Yates is one of my favorite authors and this book is definitely one of my favorites by her!!

This Texas Cowboy has come home to Copper Ridge to put down roots...but will he risk his heart again?

Asked where he'd be at this point in life, and Cain Donnelly would have said anywhere but Copper Ridge, Oregon, living with his estranged brothers. Local baker Alison Davis is a delicious temptation, but she's also his daughter's mentor and new boss. Alison has worked tirelessly to rebuild her life, and she won't jeopardize her hard-won independence. Especially if it also complicates Cain's relationship with Violet. But with Cain offering a love she never thought was possible, Alison has to find the courage to let her past go...or watch her future ride away for good.
