Review Blitz for Mack Daddy by Penelope Ward

From New York Times bestselling author, Penelope Ward, comes a sexy, STANDALONE second-chance romance.

They called him Mack Daddy. No, seriously, his name was Mack. Short for Mackenzie. Thus, the nickname. Perfect, right?

So was he: perfect. The perfect physical male specimen.

At the private school where I taught, Mack Morrison was the only man around in a sea of women.

Everyone wanted a piece of the hot single father of the sweet little boy.

I was riddled with jealousy, because they didn’t know that—to me—he was much more.

They didn’t know about our past.

He’d chosen my school for his son on purpose, because Mack and I, we had unfinished business.

As my friend Lorelai so eloquently put it: “Unfinished business between two people who are clearly attracted to each other is like an eternal case of blue balls.” And I was suffering in pain from my case.

I was still intensely attracted to Mack. I tried to resist him, immersing myself further into a relationship with another man just to protect my heart.

Not to mention, getting involved with a parent was strictly against school rules. But seeing Mack day in and day out was breaking me down.

And soon I might be breaking all the rules.

Author's note – Told in alternating points of view, Mack Daddy is a full-length standalone novel.

Review: 5 STARS!!

Another FABULOUS book by Penelope Ward!!! I love a good second chance romance story and this was a great one!! Mack & Frankie are some of my favorite characters by Penelope Ward and this book is definitely one of my favorites!!

Frankie is quirky. Seriously, I just loved her personality. She was fun, sweet, a little bit shy & she just had this unique charm about her that just drew you in to her character. Frankie's heart was broken and it never healed. She tried to deny her feelings for Mack at first and I respected Frankie for keeping the boundaries, especially because she was in a relationship, but at the same time, her heart was pulling her towards Mack. Frankie was amazing with Mack's son, and the fact that these two characters have something that is huge, in common, was just endearing and made me love the book more. I loved seeing Frankie come undone with Mack. He gave her the freedom to be who she really is and it was beautiful to see how much Mack truly loved Frankie.

Mack was a DILF. Yes, the man made mistakes, but honestly, who doesn't; and I just felt horrible for what his ex put him through. When Mack met Frankie, it was like he could breathe again. She was a breath of fresh air for him, and I was happy that they just started out as friends. Mack would push her out of her boundaries and Frankie would give him something real. Mack was a great father and I loved how attentive and protective he was of Jonah. Jonah was a great kid and I loved his character. I felt so bad for what Mack's father and ex put him through, but at the same time, it helped his and Frankie's relationship just get stronger. Mack was sweet, patient, protective, strong & oh so sexy.

The connection between Mack & Frankie has been there since the awkward yet hilarious first meeting in the dark hallway and even when they were apart, it was there, and when they reconnected, it was there, strong as ever. The connection just grew throughout the book and the passion that ignited between them was off the charts HOT!!! I loved Mack's sister & mom, and how they stood with him and welcomed Frankie into the family. This book was beautifully written and the story brought me to tears, but it also had me laughing, swooning & there were some definite OMG moments. This book is definitely going on my re read shelf and I cannot wait for what Penelope Ward comes out with next!!
