Review: 5 STARS!!
Kaylee Ryan does it again with this knockout book!! Southern Desire is a book filled with true love, laughter, and very real but scary situations.
Whitney is a little bit lost and a little bit broken, but being surrounded by family is lifting her up and Aaron isn't hard on the eyes either. Whitney is scared to make friendships and put down roots, but her fast friendship with McKinley and her family and her growing love for Aaron make those fears very real yet hard to face. Whitney was a sweetheart and I loved how real she was. She had her secrets and she was scared to believe she could open her heart to love again, but at the same time, she wanted to plunge right in with Aaron.
Aaron was just absolutely swoon worthy and a sweetheart. Seriously, he was considerate, great with his niece and nephew, protective and loved deeply. He wasn't a player, he believed in "the one" and wanted to find her. He is happy for his sister, but at the same time, it hits him deep in his heart that that is what he wants. When he lets Whitney in, his love for her is deep and true. I loved how supportive and patient he was with her. He wanted to take the sadness from her and just make her happy. Seriously, Aaron is just the perfect man.
The passion and chemistry between Aaron & Whitney was beautiful and intense. I loved seeing the relationship between Aaron & his family and Whitney and her family. Their bonds go deep. Kaylee Ryan has been one of my favorite authors for years and every book just keeps getting better and better!! I cannot wait to see what she comes out with next!!
