Blog Tour & Review for My Kind Kisses by Lacey Black

Today we have the blog tour for My Kinda Kisses by Lacey Black!! Check out this fantastic new contemporary romance today!

About My Kinda Kisses:
Life never goes as planned. Jaime Summer learned that lesson the hard way when her fiancĂ© wreaked havoc on her carefully constructed life plan. Now, Jaime’s back in her hometown, working at her sister’s flower shop and living with her family once again, swearing off dating and men for the rest of her life. That is, until Ryan Elson walks through the door.

Ryan has been in Jupiter Bay for a year now, and has worked hard to make this new town his home. His construction business is growing and while his personal relationships with the fairer sex are lacking, he’s more content than he’s ever been. He doesn’t need a woman, but a chance meeting with Jaime has Ryan ready to pull out all the stops to have her.

Exhilarating. Intoxicating. Consuming. Ravenous. Passionate. What happens when those kisses lead towards something more? Something that looks a lot like forever.

*This book is intended for those 18 and over due to graphic language, descriptive sex, and the world’s most inappropriate grandparents.

Review: 5 STARS!!

I absolutely adore Lacey Black's books and this book was no different. This is the first book of a new series by Lacey and it was a romantic read.

Jamie is the second oldest of the Summer sisters and has sworn off men. She is recovering from a broken heart and is surrounding herself with her family. I loved Jamie's spunk and positive attitude, even after everything that happened. When Jamie meets Ryan, her heart wants to go all in, but her head is telling her to be careful.

Ryan is a single guy who owns a very lucrative construction company. His ex girlfriend is self centered and just not a nice person and I am glad that she is gone. When he meets Jamie, he knows that she is something special. I loved his determination to prove to Jamie that love can be good and they can be good together. I loved that Ryan was careful and respectful with Jamie.

This book was full of love, heartbreak, moving on & letting go & family. This was a great first book of this series and I can't wait for the upcoming books!!

Review & Excerpt Tour for The Bound by K.A. Linde

Cyrene Strohm is a Queen’s Affiliate, a high-ranking official of the court of Byern, with power and privilege to spare. But she’s also a keeper of dangerous secrets: like the fact that she holds the heart of the King, and that she possesses magic in a world where magic no longer exists.

Determined to discover what this means and how to use her newfound abilities, Cyrene sets off for the distant land of Eleysia. An island nation where Affiliates are strictly forbidden from entering.

But the journey is perilous, and the destination may mean utter ruin, as Cyrene comes to learn that everything she’s been told her whole life – about her court, her homeland, and even herself—are bound in a beautiful lie.

Staggering down the hallway, she didn’t even look up when she heard her name.

 “Hmm?” she asked.

“Cyrene, there you are!” Someone grabbed her shoulders, and she tipped her head to look up into the most beautiful face. She smiled and felt a renewed burst of energy flow through her.

 “Hey,” she whispered.

“Hey,” he said, threading his fingers through hers. A shiver ran up her back. He glanced around the empty hallway and then tugged her away from the main corridors. She turned a corner, and he pressed her back into a darkened alcove. His mouth was only inches from hers.

Her exhaustion was wearing off from the excitement of being with him.

“I was really worried about you,” he breathed.

“You don’t have to worry about me,” she said, trapped in his gaze. She teetered on her tiptoes and nearly brushed their lips together. Her heart was racing ahead of her. This felt almost better than reaching for her magic. Definitely better than moving one drop of water at a time all day.

“You’re wrong.” Then, he softly dropped his mouth down on hers. His lips were tender and slow as they caressed hers. “I will always worry for your safety.”

Cyrene’s cheeks heated, and she sighed, leaning back against the hard stone of the alcove. “I didn’t mean to worry you.”

His hands pushed up through her hair and tilted her head back up to look at him. She closed her eyes and sighed. She was so tired, and just the feel of his fingers was lulling her to sleep.

 “That feels good.”

His mouth found hers, and despite her exhaustion, she pushed back against his lips with more force. She refused to let the fact that she was tired get in the way of her time with him.

“Whoa,” he said, pulling back from her. He rested his forehead against hers, and she could tell he was breathing heavily. “As much as I want this, and I do, I want to make sure you’re okay. This didn’t scare you away?”

She shook her head. “This, most certainly, does not scare me.” Then, she kissed him again for good measure.

He laughed. “Good. Because I’ve been wanting to kiss you since I first met you.”

 “You have not!” she insisted.

“Are you kidding? A gorgeous, feisty woman who wasn’t afraid to put me in my place the first time she met me? I mostly certainly have.”

Review: 5 STARS!!

This is the first series that I have read by K.A. Linde and I love it!! This book is thrilling, enticing, passionate & magical.

I loved that this book started right where the first one ended. Cyrene is a fantastic character. She is determined, smart, funny & all around kind. This review is kind of hard to write because I don't want to give any spoilers away, because this series is one that everyone needs to experience for themselves.

I loved meeting new characters in this book, especially one in particular. I think that that character was good for Cyrene because Cyrene deserves someone who will put her first and love her fierce.  Cyrene grows quite a bit in this book not just as woman, but as a powerful force and I love that she is open to learning new things. I felt like Cyrene just started her journey to find her true self and what she is capable of and that ending just left me breathless!! There are so many twists and turns in this book, that I was on the edge of my seat for almost the whole thing. K.A. Linde really wrote a story, well not just a story, a series, that will grab your attention and have your mind reeling by the end of it. I am SO excited for the next book in this series!!

When she reached the door, she pulled her fingers through her blond hair, and decided her visitor had earned the penalty of seeing her sloppy hair, leftover makeup, and pale blue flannel pajamas with a polar bear and snowflake design.
She turned the knob and blinked, stunned.
Holy crap, there is a mountain man at my door.
She was faced with wide, round shoulders. A waterfall of caramel-brown, slightly wavy hair cascaded down his arms. He wore a closely trimmed beard, his mouth flat beneath it. One eyebrow was arched over the bluest eyes she’d ever seen.
“Hello,” she managed, before jerking her gaze from his assaulting blues to take in the fitted cream-colored sweater, a pair of gray cargo pants, and laced leather boots.
He was like a sexy city lumberjack.
“Hi.”
Oh. That voice. Deep, rich, and low enough that it registered in her belly.
When his eyes dashed away from her face and he smiled, her brain turned to mush. She couldn’t think of a thing to say. Not a single thing.
“There he is. Hey, buddy.” The giant knelt as Adonis meandered through the living room, pausing to do a downward-dog stretch in front of the man’s feet. The dog received a scrub on the head, and she was rewarded with more of her guest’s low voice. “You’re better today, yeah? Sleep okay?”
Meanwhile, Rachel gawked at the two of them. Her appearance was probably less put-together than the dog’s. She ran her fingers through her hair again, making it worse at this point, and straightened her pajama top futilely. There was no escaping that she looked as if she’d crawled out of bed after a late, late night.
The man stood. “Typically, Adonis has had his walk by now, but I didn’t see you at the elevator, so…”
She squinted one eye and finally her brain chugged into gear.
Oh. Oh.
Oliver had mentioned a dog walker, but Rachel had sworn he said he’d postponed the walks while she was staying here. But since he was here, he may as well take Adonis. She wasn’t anywhere near ready to go for a stroll in the snow.
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.” She went to where the leash was hanging—on a hook inside the pantry—retrieved it, and chased Adonis for a few irritating seconds while he turned in circles in excitement. “I took him out at three in the morning, so I’m not sure if he’ll have to…you know.” Dog clipped, she handed the leash to the ridiculously good-looking man at her door. “Do you bring your own poop bags? Or do you…” The man was looking at her like she’d sprouted a third eye, so she swept the topic away with one hand. “You know what? I’ll just grab one.”
She shot him a tight smile, went back to the pantry, and returned with a bag made for Adonis’s business. She offered it to the guy, who was holding tight to Adonis’s leash while the pooch lunged for the elevator. The man didn’t budge, despite the dog’s strength.
“Where’s Oliver?” he asked.
She frowned as she crinkled the plastic bag against her body. “You mean he didn’t tell you? He’s on a business trip. I’m housesitting.”
“You his niece?” he asked after running a long gaze down then up to her face again.
She laughed. “No, not at all. He’s one of my regulars. Odd, right? But we hit it off and he likes me, so…”
The man’s frown deepened, those gorgeous eyes darkening to stormy blue. “I’m not the dog walker.” He offered the leash but Adonis stayed in the hallway rather than coming back inside. “I’m an upstairs neighbor.”
“Oh. Oh my God! I’m so sorry!” Rachel took the leash and wrestled with Adonis, who was much, much stronger than she. He knew it. The dog spread his feet wide and stood his ground on the carpeted floor.
“I suggest you find a way to keep him quiet at night while you’re out. I work from home and I can’t listen to him bark for hours.”
Hours?
“If I were anyone else, a noise complaint would be in your future. Oliver follows the rules. He wouldn’t like knowing you’re breaking a big one.” That low voice had dropped lower, the reprimand having the dual result of both pissing her off and making her feel a little tingly.
God. I need more sleep.
“No need to be rude,” she snapped. He blinked, surprised. Probably not used to being put in his place.
Look at him. He’s a wall. Who would stand up to him?
Then she remembered his kind smile, the way his hands rubbed Adonis’s flank with rugged gentleness. A shiver climbed her spine at the same time Adonis jerked hard on the leash.
She expelled a dainty “oh!” and lunged forward at the same time the man in the doorway caught the leash in one hand and her against him. Rachel found every part of her from thighs to breasts plastered to the giant’s body. Her palms flattened over two hard pectoral muscles hidden beneath the sweater, her legs bumping his legs, which felt as solid as two marble columns. She tilted her head, met those aqua blue eyes and…and…remembered she hadn’t brushed her teeth yet.
She shoved off his rock-hard stomach, slapping a palm over her mouth. Then she gave a hard tug to Adonis’s leash, who turned with a sigh and paced back inside. Once he was clear of the door, she sent the hard-bodied hunk at the threshold a glare and slammed the door in his face.
Adonis yipped his disappointment at losing the chance to go outside.
“You’ll have to take him out now!” came a shout through the door. “Don’t blue-ball the poor guy after taking him halfway.”
Adonis wagged his tail so hard, he nearly took out a lamp. The hulk at the door was right. There was no way she could turn down the Dane’s pale eyes and smiling pink mouth, perked pointy ears, and lolling tongue.
“Fine,” she growled and stomped for the bedroom. She snatched up her boots and hastily picked out her clothes, feeling both tired and cranky. Yet as she tugged on her coat, she found her mouth curving into a half-smile.
Blue balls.
Who was that guy?

5 STARS!!

I really enjoyed the first book in this series and I was so excited for Tag's book, because I loved his character in the first book!! This book was filled with tension, angst, passion & laughter.

Rachel is an independent and proud of it woman. She doesn't take anyone's crap and stands up for herself, but at the same time, she takes any job she can just to make some money because of what had happened that left her broke. I love Rachel's tenacity and fire that she has burning in herself. Rachel never gives up and when she meets Tag, she is speechless there for a minute, but then the real fun starts to happen.

Tag is a bachelor and loves his life. He is funny, kind & doesn't do commitment. When he meets Rachel, he is interested and not just about getting her into bed. He wants to know everything there is to know about her, but she is hesitant. The banter and the push and pull between these two characters is what made this book have angst.

The connection was there for both of them from the beginning, but the fact that these two characters have issues they need to overcome, is what makes this book different than the normal love story. Jessica Lemmon is one of my favorite authors and I am so excited for the next book in this series!!

Liam smiled when Sophie cursed out her brother in Italian. “Problem?” he asked once she returned her phone to her pocket.
“I told Marco Mia can watch Casper the Ghost, and what does he put on? Halloween Five. She’s . . . six, and he’s got her watching horror movies. If that doesn’t give her nightmares, the pop, candy apples, and popcorn will. He’s thirty-one going on fifteen.”
Liam struggled to hold back a laugh. His best friend was an idiot, but he had his back. “Most guys are. Betcha he ends up being Mia’s favorite babysitter.”
“No, that would be you. I think you’re the reason she put up such a fuss about coming tonight.”
He liked the kid . . . a lot, and he liked kissing her mother a lot, too. But he and Sophie had a complicated past. And gorgeous single moms with adorable daughters were not in his wheelhouse. The rules in his playbook might not be as old as the ones in Jasper’s handbook, but they were as non-negotiable. A relationship with Sophie would be the polar opposite of keeping it easy and simple. There was nothing simple or easy about Sophie DiRossi.
“Liam, did I say something wrong?”
“No . . .” He rubbed his jaw. “Soph, about the kiss—”
“You don’t have to say anything. I was upset, and so were you. It was a mistake. I’m sorry. It won’t happen again. You know, I should probably get going. Rosa—”
He grabbed her hand before she took off. “Wait. You have nothing to apologize for. I just don’t think a relationship right now is a good idea for either of us.”
She frowned. “A relationship? How did we go from a kiss to a relationship?”
He didn’t have a clue. “That’s not what I meant to say. Okay, so maybe I thought seeing that you’re a single mother, you wouldn’t be looking for just a good time. You’re not, are you?”
“I’m a healthy twenty-six-year-old who hasn’t had sex in six years. So what do you think?”
He wasn’t thinking. He couldn’t. Every ounce of blood from his head had gone south.

5 STARS!!

This is the first book by Debbie Mason that I have read and I truly enjoyed it!! This book was filled with beautiful second chances, love & laughter.

Sophie is a single mother to a beautiful and charasmatic daughter. She is a great mom and I felt a connection towards Sophie, especially with her fears to go back to a town that she didn't feel like she would be welcome back too. Sophie is the type of character that you just love right off the bat and her family will have you laughing and shaking your head.

Liam is all swoon worthy. He is kind, sexy, strong & a firefighter!! He has always had feelings for Sophie and when she returns home, his feelings resurface, stronger than ever. I loved how he loved Sophie's daughter Mia. He was protective and he has such a kind spirit. He puts others above himself.

I love a good second chance romance story and this is one of my favorites!! Liam & Sophie had a connection that was strong and their passion for each other was palpable whenever they were in the vicinity of each other. Debbie Mason is definitely an author that I love and I am so happy that I took a chance on her writing!!

Walker
Watching her place her perfect lips on the side of Logan’s face made me cringe. I know I have no right to feel this way, but those two have something that I can’t quite understand, and I’m jealous. The question is, what do I do about it?  As she walks toward me with a huge smile on her face, all my craziness evaporates into the evening sky.
“You ready?” she asks.
“As I’ll ever be,” I reply.
After swinging my leg over my bike, I pass Chauna a helmet, and we put them on together. As she swings her leg over, I hold still and wait for the moment she wraps her arms around me. I take a deep breath as she eases into me and rev the engine to life; all eyes are on us.
“Hold on tight,” I say, and she pulls herself even closer. We take the driveway slow, but when we hit the main road, I pull the throttle and we pick up speed as we make our way toward Sammy’s. As we approach the drive-in, I realize that Chauna is completely right; this place is nothing like it was earlier today. The Sammy’s Drive-In light is lit up like Christmas, and it reminds me of Flo’s CafĂ© in the movie Cars. There’s so much neon, and instead of cars, there are monster trucks everywhere. Pulling the bike in, we park, and I look to Chauna for direction as country music plays in the background.
“Welcome to Barber. Where the trucks are hot, but the girls are hotter,” she says with pure sexiness. In this moment, I know that this is just the beginning of an epic, new chapter in my life.

Review: 4 STARS!!

This was really quick read and I really enjoyed the story of Walker & Chauna.

This is a small town and Walker just moved into it. When he lays eyes on Chauna, he sees an angel and when Chauna lays eyes on Walker, she feels things that she hasn't felt before. These two characters were young when they found each other and I loved that young love. It was innocent, but I also loved that Walker tried to keep Chauna innocent. He was protective and would do anything for her. Chauna made Walker want to be better. I loved seeing Walker & Chauna's love turn from young love, to a more mature and stronger love.

This was a good read and I can't wait to see what Casey Peeler comes out with next!!
