Title: Clutch (Disciples' Daughters #1)
Author: Drew Elyse
Genre: Contemporary/MC Romance
Release Date: September 15, 2015
goodreads
Synopsis
Once a Disciple, forever a Disciple.
Cami was born into the Savage Disciples MC, but she ventured out to build a life of her own away from the club. She’s engaged now, living a new life despite missing the bikers that raised her. Overall, she’s… fine. Sure, fine. She’s fine with the fiancĂ© who is more interested in position and image than the woman in his life. She’s fine with the fake people around and the suffocating passive aggression. She’s fine with the fact that she is turning to drugs to self-medicate. A Disciple will fight like a savage for what he wants. When Gauge tags along to visit his club brother’s daughter, he can’t believe the two women he meets: the fiery daughter of a biker and the puppet with the blank affect. And yet, they’re both Cami. He sees the fire beneath surface, and he wants to watch it burn. He wants to rip away the man smothering her like a wet blanket. He wants to see the flames consume that cookie-cutter future-wife facade to the ground and dance with her in the flames. When this biker clutches onto a Disciple’s daughter, there is no letting go.

Cami

I finally retrieved my phone to charge it for the night. I could not say what possessed me to do it, but I found myself opening my contacts and scrolling down to Gauge’s name. Only, I did not find it. It took me a few minutes to realize there were no new entries in my contacts at all. But there was a text to an unsaved number. Gauge had sent himself a message from my phone. I went to save the number, pausing when I saw what he sent.
Me: Gauge, you are so fucking sexy. I want your huge cock.
I did not know whether to laugh or roll my eyes. The man seriously needed to be taken down a peg or two. With that thought, I sent him a text of my own.
Me: Keep dreaming.
I meant to tease him, yet, once I finally drifted off, I was the one who dreamed about Gauge and all the illicit things he could do to me.
Gauge
Cami: Have you ever had sex on your bike?
Jesus. Fuck. That damn woman was going to be the fuckin’ death of me. It had been three weeks since the day I met her, and I’d talked to her almost every day since.
When I gave her my number, I honestly hadn’t thought I’d ever hear a damn word from her. I’d already been prepared to let that shit go. She was engaged—albeit to a total fuckwit—and unhappy or not, she didn’t seem like she was in a hurry to change that. I figured the next time I heard anything about her would be from Tank mentioning something. Then, I’d gotten a text from her that same evening in response to the one I’d sent myself from her phone. Even then, I’d anticipated the line of communication going dark real fast. Still, I’d taken advantage of the door she opened.
Me: I will, babe.
She hadn’t responded that evening, and I’d planned on taking cues from her, so it was a serious fuckin’ surprise when my phone went off the next day with a text from her.
Cami: Any club girls thanking you this morning?
She was flirting with me. Shit, she was playing with fire. Somehow, I knew I was the one who would get burned if I played her game, but I couldn’t find it in me to care.
Me: Nah. Just me thanking my hand.
Cami: Disappointing.
Me: You want me fucking the patch whores?
Cami: No. I meant for you.
Me: Trust me, you didn’t fucking disappoint.
Cami: Me?
Me: Told you I’d be dreaming about you.
Cami: You’re disgusting. And I am oddly flattered.
Me: You should be.
That was how it unfolded, day in and day out. Sometimes the conversations were harmless. That first day, we eventually switched gears and talked music for a while. Other days, we talked about movies, bikes, random things that happened during the day. I was really getting to know her. It was normal, more normal than anything I’d ever known. Then, one of us would blow that all to hell.
It would be simple, sometimes just one fuckin’ text.
Cami: I hate having a housekeeper. It makes me seriously uncomfortable that she cleans and sorts my panties.
I could claim I tried to be good when she sent that one, but that’d be a damn lie. First thing I did was picture what sort of panties Cami had—I figured lace, skimpy but nothing like the pussy ‘round the club wore. Hers would be classy shit. Picturing that ass of hers in lace, my dick got hard real fast. Before I could fuckin’ consider whether I was making a big mistake, the fucker was out and in my hand as I texted her back.
Me: What kind of panties?
Cami: Wouldn’t you like to know.
Me: Fuck yes I would.
There wasn’t an immediate response, but I didn’t need one. Just the image my mind conjured up of her in lace, moving the material aside so I could fuck her while the little panties stayed on, had me close to blowing my fucking load. Her teasing only pushed me closer. Then, my phone went off again.
A picture. She sent me a fuckin’ picture of a pair of red lace panties laid out on top of what appeared to be a fuckin’ drawer full of similar folded pairs in different colors. I shot off in my hand at the sight. It was not the last time I called that picture up either.
I felt like a pubescent fuck who recently discovered the joy of coming. I hadn’t masturbated so much since I was a teenager, but fuck if I could stop. One flirty text from her, one thought of that picture, or any of the mental images I cooked up, and I was bringing myself there again. I told myself more times than I could count that I could grab one of the girls and have her help with the problem, but none of them held any appeal. I didn’t want just any warm pussy to sink into, I wanted fire. I wanted a girl who had me aching before I even touched her.
I wanted Cami.
The moment at hand had me dreaming up a whole new set of images. Had I ever had sex on my bike?
Me: No. Never had a woman on my bike.
Though, that seemed like something that needed rectifying.
Cami: Like, at all? Or sexually speaking?
Me: At all.
Cami: Seriously?
Me: Ain’t puttin’ random pussy on my bike.
With the exception of my mom—who would “never, ever do it”—or a woman I at least planned to make my old lady, no chick was getting on my baby. I’d give her a ride on my bike, though. Whatever kind she wanted.
Of course, Cami was the type of woman I would seriously consider making my old lady.

Review:
5 STARS!!
What a great book by Drew Elyse!! I absolutely loved Gauge & Cami!! Gauge was just the right amount of alpha, sweet, protective & possessive. He loves Cami with everything in him and he would die protecting her. Cami, my heart broke for her with what she went through but she is a biker'so daughter and she is strong. She picked herself up and moved on. Their connection was instantaneous and they just understood each other. There was drama & heartache but there was also laughter & healing in this book. I loved most of the secondary characters and I can't wait to see what comes next!

Blog Tour & Review for Something for the Pain by Victoria Ashley

Tempting, inked and highly addictive. Alex is all that and more… I’ve made a lot of mistakes – ones I’m not proud of, and definitely ones that have left their marks both mentally and physically. Things got lonely; I got lost in my own fucked up mind and in the end it left me fucked out of my mind and unable to fight – or at least win. That life’s over for me and I’ve moved on. Six months into tattooing at Blue’s and already I’m the most wanted and sought out tattooist. My biggest clientele consists of women. They come into the shop, end up in my bed and we both come out happy. It’s been my release since I’ve stopped fighting. It’s become part of the “new” me. But when Tripp reappears in my life, I can’t deny the fact that I would do anything for that girl. So when she asks me to move in with her and her ‘boyfriend’ – our other childhood friend – I never expected for things to get so fucked up and twisted that I would find myself only more attracted to her by each passing second or wanting to protect her from everything that isn’t me. I have worked so hard over the years to suppress my feelings for her but when I find out that her and Lucas have been having an open relationship, I have the strong urge to rip his heart straight from his chest – to destroy the very thing that keeps him breathing. What I didn’t expect was for Lucas to ask what he did. For him to ask me to do the one thing I have secretly longed for since I was old enough to know what the need was. The second thing I never expected was the look of need that I saw in Tripp’s eyes when he asked. One night of free passion could change our lives forever. I never said that was a good thing either… GR Something for the Pain teaser

I hear my door push open, but I’m too tired to acknowledge it. It can’t be any later than seven thirty in the morning, so I just stay lying on my stomach. I hear something get set down on my computer desk before I feel the bed dip down next to me. It must be Lucas saying goodbye before he has to get ready for work. Groaning, I reach out and grip his upper thigh, surprised at how hard and thick it feels in my hand. I guess I never really paid his legs much attention before. “Ughhhh… my head. Why did you give me all those shots last night? I feel like hell.” I run my hand up higher, stopping just below his package. Why does he feel so good right now? “You look like hell too,” Alex says playfully. Shocked, I let go of his thigh and grip onto the sheet to cover my bare breasts, while maneuvering my way to my knees. I almost forgot that Alex finally moved his stuff in last night. Man, I really must’ve had a few too many shots. “Crap, Alex. I thought you were Lucas.” I reach up with one hand to cover my face as my head starts pounding. “I guess I drank a little too much last night.” I pull my hand away and squint from the light shining in my room. “I almost grabbed your dick, Alex. You weren’t even going to say anything?” Grinning, Alex stands up, and I can’t help but to notice how sexy he looks, wearing only a tight pair of boxer briefs. Not only do I get him as a roommate, but now I’ll also have to see him running around in his underwear. Talk about a distraction. “Just a few too many.” He runs his hand through his wet hair. “And I’m not going to stop something that feels good. I’m sure your hand was enjoying it too much. Now sit up straight.” I watch as Alex walks over to my desk and grabs a plate and a glass of something. My head hurts too much to even pay attention to his words. “What’s this?” I ask as he sets the plate on my lap. “You made me breakfast?” He sets the glass down on the nightstand beside me and I peek over to see that it’s orange juice. “Yeah.” Without another word, he walks into the bathroom. I almost think he’s going back to his room, until he emerges a few seconds later, holding something in his hand. He places two pills into my hand and crosses his arms over his chest. “Ibuprofen. Take those and eat your food.” Not questioning him, I do as told. The first bite of food causes me to smile at its deliciousness. “Oh my goodness, Alex.” I point down at the toast before taking another bite and quickly chewing it. “This is absolutely delicious. Wow.” He smiles. “Tell me something I don’t know.” I toss a piece of egg at his head. “Cocky much?” I laugh as he grabs my hand and takes a bite of the eggs that I was just about to eat. “Very much so.” He chews the eggs and rubs a hand over his stiff abs. “What you doing before work?” “I was going to stop by and visit Tara. You want to come with?” He nods his head and starts backing away to the bathroom. “Yeah. I’m sure she misses the shit out of me.” I laugh, accidently spitting the mouthful of toast out. “Seriously?” I cover my mouth and smile. “It’s only been like a week. Trust me, she does not miss you.” He flashes me his dimples. “We’ll see about that.” He gets ready to walk out of my room, but stops and grabs onto the frame. “Oh and Lucas left for work already. He said he’ll see you around one.” Figures he wouldn’t say bye. “Alright… thanks.” I take a sip of my orange juice. “I’ll shower after I eat and then we can go. Sound good?” “Everything out of your mouth sounds good.” He attempts to catch the egg in his mouth as I throw it at him. “You have a horrible aim. I’m going to go downstairs and work out for about twenty minutes and then take a quick shower. I’ll shower downstairs so I don’t slow you down.” Eyeing his body up and down, I swallow, remembering the dirty sounds coming from the downstairs shower last night. I tried so hard to block them out, but it was pretty hard to miss. I have to admit that hearing Alex fuck, both turned me on and bothered me at the same time. A part of me wanted to imagine myself taking her place, while the other part wanted to pretend that I wasn’t imagining it at all. Then Lucas came up here saying dirty things to me about Alex… once again, turning me on so bad that I practically knocked him down and jumped on his dick. We had wild, meaningless sex, and then I sent him down to his room. Sleeping in the same bed as Lucas is something that I haven’t done yet. I’ve only slept next to Alex, and for some reason… I want to keep it that way for now. “Sounds good. We can take your truck.” I smile while taking another bite of food. “You just can’t get enough of my awesome driving, can you? You like it fast and wild.” He winks. “I like that.” I point my fork at him. “Just hurry up so we can get going.” “Sure thing, babe.” He dodges out of my room, leaving me grinning from ear to ear. He always has a way of making me smile. I honestly don’t know what I would do without him

“She’s not had an easy time since she’s been gone.” Rachel’s soft voice didn’t rouse his sympathy.
The soothing warmth he was receiving from his sister’s hand on his arm didn’t dispel the churning anger in his stomach, and Tate refused to talk about Sutton any longer.
Rachel sighed. “Your temper is going to be your downfall, Tate. Greer may be a hothead, but he gets over it fast. You hold a grudge forever.”
“Yes, I do.” He and Cash had a contentious past over women, but the only one Cash had succeeded in angering him over was Sutton.
“You’re an asshole. I never touched Sutton, but youre not going to change your mind despite me telling you the truth. Ask me about any woman in town, and I’ll tell you the truth; why would I lie about her?”
“Maybe because your wife is sitting right here,” Tate replied sarcastically.
“I’ve never denied my past to Rachel,” Cash snapped back.
“Then it’s because you knew I cared about her.”
Cash snorted. “You didn’t care about Sutton. You let her go easily enough. If you were as into her as youre acting, you would have whipped my ass over her. Greer tried to give me a beating over that slut Diane. You just asked Lisa to the prom, instead. You were just tired of having blue balls, and it gave you the excuse to do what you wanted to do all along.”
“Which was what?” Tate snarled.
“Breakup with Sutton and fuck Lisa.”
Tate stood, his chair scrapping back. “I’ve gotta go before I knock the shit out of you. I can’t afford to do any jail time right now. Bye, Rach.”
“Tate!”
He ignored his sister trying to call him back. He didn’t bother paying his bill, either, knowing Cash would take care of it. The son of a bitch deserved to pay his tab.

Subject: You’re a flippin’ idiot

Good morning my dear, naive friend,

I hope you’re enjoying a breakfast of regret and sorrow.

Why?

Because you sent me to work for Dean Harper, aka a control freak in a tailor-made suit. Sure he owns the trendiest restaurants in NYC, but c'mon Jo, his ego makes Kanye West look like the Dalai Lama.

He's the type of guy that only hears the word “no” when it's followed by “don’t stop.”

Working for Dean Harper would be like selling my soul to the devil…and before you say anything, I don’t care if the devil has punch-you-in-the-gut brown eyes and an ass to match. My soul isn’t for sale.

Regretfully yours,
Lily

The Allure of Dean Harper is a full-length standalone romance with overlapping characters from The Allure of Julian Lefray. Both books can be read separately. Chronologically, The Allure of Julian Lefray happens first.

What an awesome second book in the Allure series!! Dean & Lily are like fire & gasoline. They are explosive, passionate, stubborn & driven. They grate on each other's nerves but when they are by themselves their anger turns into passion and sometimes even passionate anger. Lily is such an independent woman and she is confident. She is also vulnerable and lonely. Dean is stubborn & prideful. From the moment they met there has been a connection and it took some time for them to get it but when they did it was fireworks!! Seriously, I have never read about a couple that were so annoyingly stubborn and got under each other's skin yet loved each other so deeply than I did with these two. Throughout this book I laughed, swooned & got mad, but it was amazing!! I am so excited to see what R.S. Grey comes out with next!

My life was full of nevers.
It was never supposed to go this way. I was never supposed to lose Mom so soon. I was never supposed to worry about making ends meet, to worry about losing the farm. I never thought I’d be working a job I hate, with a boss who was more interested in what was under my shirt than in my head. Saving neglected and abused horses had been my whole life. It was my reprieve, my sanity, my last saving grace in a cruel world. I never thought I’d grow to resent it, but I guess there is a first for everything.
Then I met him.
The Hollywood playboy. The entitled, cocky asshole that I can’t get out of my head. I never thought there could be more to him than sex appeal and an infamous reputation of loving and leaving. I never thought I’d fall for him, put my heart on the line, and risk letting him completely destroy me.
But you know what they tell you…never say never.

Excerpt
A tear rolls down her cheek and she bites her lip, trying not to cry. Then her face breaks and her shoulders slump forward. I stand there, shaking, terrified of the raw emotion. My heart breaks for her and I rush forward, wrapping her in my arms as she sobs. It’s beautiful and it’s tragic, and in that moment, I’ve never felt anything more real. The pain. The sorrow. Her loss. The darkness I try to hard to keep out, that I fight tooth and nail but can never fully avoid. I hold her and feel it all. It swarms around me, filling me, hurting me, opening my eyes. I realize everything I’ve done to desperately hold it together slowly chipped away at me until there was nothing left, nothing but a shell of a man with an empty heart that I never though was capable of feeling anything but hurt. A heart I thought was never worthy of a second chance, was never capable of redemption. It’s then that I realize I never, ever want to let her go. And it’s crazy, because I don’t know her—really know her—but there is something so intimate about holding someone as they cry. It exposes so much, and you can’t hold back as the tears fall and the sadness comes out in waves. I feel my own eyes mist over. I close them and cradle Haley close to me. “There’s nothing wrong with you,” I tell her. “I promise you that.” “Look at me,” she repeats. “Have you ever had a date end this way?” “Our date didn’t even start,” I say. “And hey, you didn’t go crazy and shave your head, so I say you’re doing all right.” She laughs, and her arms slowly wrap around me. Something inside me relaxes. I sit and pull her onto my lap and we stay there in silence for a few minutes. Gently, I push her hair out of her face. “Want that drink now?” She laughs again and nods. “I need that drink now.” She stands up and wipes her eyes, smearing her makeup across her cheeks. “And really, I won’t hold it against you or call the tabloids on you if you drop me off at home and call it a night.” Tabloids? The word is jarring. For a few minutes I was the real Aiden again…and I didn’t mind. “It’s up to you, Haley. I’m not mad or upset, so don’t worry. I don’t like seeing you sad, and if you’d like, I want to try and cheer you up.” “I’d like that.” I stand and drape my arm around her. “Are you hungry? I can go get the food.” “I am. And thanks, Aiden. I…I don’t know.” “What?” I probe. “I’m surprised by your kindness.” “Ouch,” I say with a chuckle. “Thanks?” She smiles and takes a step toward the restaurant. “Hey, you can’t really blame me, can you?” I can’t, because I’ve fooled the world—and at times, myself—about who I really am. The partying, the women, the excessive spending, and run-ins with the American law…okay, so maybe I had a reputation. “No, I can’t. But I’m glad I surprised you.”

Excerpt:
She moaned loudly, her hands splaying across my shoulders. "You make me so happy. I hope you know that. Thank you for giving yourself to me."
"Thank you for letting me, for wanting me." No one had ever wanted me like she did.
She held my cheeks and searched my face. "I'll never not want you, Jase. That's impossible."
I knew exactly how she felt.
Without another word, she sat up and playfully pushed my chest, wanting me back on the pillow. So I went with it and fell back as she climbed over me, a leg on either side.
"So . . ." Her fingers coiled around the hem of my shirt, my heart thumping rapidly. "Do you remember when you said that I was yours?"
I grinned. "I remember."
A sexy smirk splashed across her face. "I might be yours, but do you know what else that means?"
I folded an arm behind my head, while my other hand caressed her bare leg. "No, sweetheart. What does it mean?"
Her body inched lower until our chests were touching and our heartbeats matched.
Placing her mouth directly over mine, she whispered, "Mine, Jase. You're all mine, cowboy."
I palmed the back of her head and growled, crashing my lips to hers, taking every ounce of Cassie I could. I was hers and she was mine and there was nothing that would ever change that. Even if tragedy ever struck down the road, I’d always still be a chapter in her life. One she’d never forget. No one could ever take that away from either of us.

Review:
5++ STARS!!
This book....there are not enough words or emotions to describe how incredible this book is. I absolutely loved Away & Stay but Letting Go & seeing it from Jase's POV was just powerful on a whole different level than the other two books. I loved that this book wasn't just a re-telling of Away in Jase's POV, we learned new things and saw what Jase was going through. He and Cassie will always be one of my favorite book couples. He & Cassie had such a connection with each other. I loved seeing Jase fall in love with her and love life and help Cassie learn to live life and love also. This book had me in tears from the beginning but it also had me laughing and falling in love with these two characters again. B.A. Wolfe always seems to bring out my ugly cries and I couldn't be happier. Her writing connects you with her characters and I felt like I was right there with Jase & Cassie. Seriously, this book is one of the best books that I have read this year. Jase will always have a special place in my heart. I cannot wait to see what B.A. Wolfe comes out with next!!

About The Author-

B.A. Wolfe is a girl with a passion for reading and writing, and lives in the good old state of Colorado with her husband (her biggest cheerleader), and her two crazy min pin fur babies. These days, her life is anything but calm, and there isn't one thing she'd want to change. B.A. spends all her free time either furiously typing stories on her laptop or happily reading through her endless TBR on her Kindle. Her list of favorites would be long enough to fill a book, but most would likely fall under the romance category. She is a sucker for a good love story that makes her cry, and an amazing book boyfriend who will melt her heart.
